5 fast facts about Kat

As you can see from my website, I’m a freelance marketing consultant and I’m here to help you make a difference, generate inbound leads and deliver return on investment from your marketing activities.

Since we’re just getting to know each other, here are five facts that you might not know about me:

1. My passion for marketing started during university – I studied business, but an incredibly funny and enthusiastic lecturer ignited my interest in the subject and I chose to take a marketing pathway; I’ve loved it ever since.

2. My commitment to the marketing profession is backed up by my having a Professional Postgraduate Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. It gives me some pretty good knowledge and frameworks to use alongside the experience I’ve gained.

3. I’ve managed some pretty big projects throughout my career, including (to name a few) a 400+ page salary guide covering 24 countries, over 16 website redesigns and rebrands for complex national and international businesses, and a luxury book celebrating the culture of over 100 global architecture & design firms…so I’m not afraid to tackle some pretty intricate projects.

4. I’m a Virgo, which means I’m incredibly well organised and analytical. I love nothing more than a good spreadsheet and having a nose into your marketing analytics – I love tracking how end users are behaving and responding to our marketing activities.

5. My spiritual home is New Zealand – if it wasn’t so far away I’d probably move there. I love the stunning scenery, the fresh air, the tramping (that’s walking, to us Brits), the laid-back nature of the people…and the wine is pretty decent too. #cheers! On my last visit I walked the beautiful Queen Charlotte Track (71km long) and climbed Avalanche Peak in Arthur’s Pass (a 6-8 hr 1,100m vertical climb) – I can’t wait to go back.
